Workshops for Students
A multi-media interdisciplinary presentation that may include any or all of the following:
Performance of original pieces that elicit feedback and incite critical thinking
Call and response activities that enhance both oral and aural expression
Low risk/high success writing activities (example: Ticker Tape)
The encouragement of students to share original pieces aloud
A 1-hour or 1 class period multi-media assembly featuring original spoken word pieces, live music, and interactive call and response. Some ideas include: Hispanic Heritage Month (Mid September – Mid October), Black History Month (February), and National Poetry Month (April). We are also open to creating presentations that meet your needs whatever they may be.
We are always willing to further tailor our presentations to fit your specific needs. From 1, 2, or 3-hour workshops in a single day (Saturday included) to residencies lasting three to ten days (see www.makeaconnectionthruart.org as an example), we can accommodate your needs.
